Fascinating people will come back to life at the Sunday in the Cemetery – Living History Tour which will be hosted by the Society on June 25 at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Baraboo. Tour participants will be guided through the cemetery to hear the stories of nine people of the past including Catherine Warren, the mayor’s wife who died after falling off of a roof, Thomas Jefferson Johnson, a Civil War soldier who survived a Confederate prison, Samuel F. Amy, a talented bridge builder, and others. Their personal stories of triumph and tragedy will come to life when told by costumed reenactors at the beautiful and historic Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Guided groups will begin every fifteen minutes for the 75 minute tour.

Don’t miss this historical event and fundraiser for the Society which only comes along every other year.

The 2023 Sunday in the Cemetery – Living History Tour is being sponsored by Johnsen Insurance, Baldwin Funeral Services, Terrytown Plumbing, Willowood Inn, Baraboo State Bank, Hill’s Wiring, Spellman Monument, and Hausmann Group.

Please thank our Sunday in the Cemetery sponsors!
