Send a check or money order made out to the Sauk County Historical Society. Mail it to: P.O. Box 651, Baraboo, WI 53913. Include the accession number of the photo, the quantity of each, and in which format you wish it to be (photo paper or digital).

$15 per image service fee covers research and handling.

Personal Use of Image
Digital files of photos for personal use may be obtained by contacting SCHS using the form below. SCHS defines "personal use" as displaying a print of a historical image from our collections in a private residence, business, or for use in research. There is a $15 per image service fee for personal photo requests. Image files are emailed. Please allow 7 days to complete your image request.
Commercial Use
The Society defines "commercial use" as any use of historical images used to generate sales. This includes purchasing the right to use a historical image and displaying it in any public venue where an admission fee is charged, such as in a museum, art studio, or other venue. Commercial use also includes image use in enterprises such as websites, books, advertising, films and use in a public presentation.
Commercial use requires an image use contract. Please click the button below to complete and print the contract. Please email the contract to the Sauk County Historical Society. Download the contract using the button below. Once the contract is approved, you may pay for use of the image by check, or for credit card payment, use the Commercial Use Image Request online purchase option to the left.
Images are issued by the Sauk County Historical Society. Use of the image requires written permission from the Sauk County Historical Society. An image may not be sold or redistributed, copied or distributed as a photograph, electronic file, or any other media. The image should not be significantly altered through conventional or electronic means. Images altered beyond standard cropping and resizing require permission from SCHS.
